Breeze Airways is a popular low-cost carrier that offers flexible fares and a variety of baggage options. Whether you’re traveling light or need to bring along extra items, Breeze has you covered. We’ll explore the ins and outs of Breeze Airways baggage policy, including carry-on allowances, checked baggage allowances, fees, and more. So, let’s dive in and discover everything you need to know about Breeze Airways baggage policy.

Breeze Airways Carry-on Allowance

When it comes to carry-on baggage, Breeze Airways provides a generous allowance to its passengers. Each passenger is allowed to bring one personal item on board for free. This can include a purse, laptop bag, or small backpack. The dimensions for the personal item should not exceed 17 x 13 x 8 inches (43 x 33 x 20 cm).

If you require additional space for your belongings, Breeze offers the option to purchase a carry-on bag. The “Nicer” and “Nicest” fare bundles include one standard carry-on bag in the ticket price. However, for passengers traveling on a “Nice” fare, a carry-on bag can be purchased separately for $35. The dimensions for the standard carry-on bag should not exceed 24 x 14 x 10 inches (61 x 35 x 25 cm) with a maximum weight of 35 pounds.

Breeze Airways Checked Baggage Allowance

Breeze Airways provides different checked baggage allowances based on the fare bundle selected. With the “Nice” fare bundle, no checked bags are included. However, with the “Nicer” fare bundle, one checked bag is included in the ticket price. For passengers traveling on the “Nicest” fare bundle, two checked bags are included.

All checked bags must adhere to a maximum weight of 50 pounds (22 kg) and maximum linear dimensions of 62 inches (157 cm). It’s important to note that any bags exceeding these limits may be subject to additional fees or may not be accepted by the airline.

Breeze Airways Baggage Fees

If you need to bring additional checked bags or exceed the weight or size limits, Breeze Airways charges fees for excess baggage. The fees vary depending on the route, so it’s recommended to use the airline’s online bag price checker for the most accurate information.

Here is a general overview of the fees for purchased luggage:

  • First Checked Bag: $35 to $41
  • Second Checked Bag: $45
  • Third Checked Bag: $50

In addition to the standard baggage fees, Breeze Airways also charges excess baggage fees for overweight and oversized items. For bags weighing between 51 to 71 pounds, an additional fee of $20 will apply. Bags weighing between 71 to 99 pounds will incur a fee of $50. Oversized bags with linear dimensions between 63 to 80 inches will be subject to a $50 fee. It is important to note that bags exceeding 99 pounds or 80 linear inches will not be accepted.

Breeze Airways Baggage Prepayment

To make the baggage process more convenient, Breeze Airways allows passengers to prepay for their luggage online or through the customer service team. There are several ways to prepay for baggage:

  • Log in to your Breeze Guest account on the Breeze website and click “My Trips.”
  • Log in to your Breeze Guest account on the Breeze app (available for iOS and Android) and click “My Trips.”
  • Call the Guest Empowerment Team at 801-401-9000.

Prepaying for baggage can save you time and potentially reduce the overall cost of your trip. It’s recommended to take advantage of this option if you know you’ll need to bring additional luggage.

Breeze Airways Baggage Policy for Lap Infants

If you are traveling with a lap infant, it is important to note that they are not entitled to any carry-on allowance. However, you can bring a diaper bag as part of the adult’s allowance. For checked baggage, lap infants are not entitled to a separate baggage allowance. Any necessary items, such as a stroller can be checked into the hold at the check-in desk or gate free of charge.

Breeze Airways Baggage Policy for Active-Duty Military

Active-duty military personnel are eligible for special baggage allowances when flying with Breeze Airways. They are permitted two checked bags & one carry-on item free of charge. This is a great benefit for military personnel and can help make their travel experience more convenient and cost-effective.

Reimbursement for Baggage Fees with Credit Cards

While Breeze Airways doesn’t have a co-branded credit card that offers free checked bags, there are credit cards available that can reimburse you for baggage fees. One such card is the Capital One Venture X Rewards Credit Card. With this card, you can redeem Capital One miles for a statement credit to cover previous travel purchases, including baggage fees. Another option is the Capital One Venture Rewards Credit Card, which also offers flexible redemptions and a welcome offer of 75,000 miles. Lastly, the Capital One VentureOne Rewards Credit Card provides similar benefits for travelers with good to excellent credit.

By using these credit cards, you can offset the cost of baggage fees and potentially save money on your Breeze Airways travel.
