For delayed or cancelled flight, denied boarding or missed connection
Travel plans can often change unexpectedly, and Bahamasair understands the importance of flexibility for its passengers. The Bahamasair cancellation policy is designed to provide maximum flexibility, allowing passengers to change or cancel their flights without incurring hefty fees or penalties. We will explore the details of the Bahamasair cancellation policy, including how to cancel your flight, refund options, and important considerations to keep in mind.
Understanding the Bahamasair Cancellation Policy
No Refunds for Booked and Paid Reservations
Once a booking is made and paid for, there are no refund options available. Passengers do not have the right to cancel their travel plans or request a refund.
Cancelling a Bahamasair Flight
To cancel a Bahamasair flight, passengers must send a cancellation request in writing or contact Bahamasair Air Tours via phone. It is important to note that the cancellation policy only applies to reservations made within 24 hours of booking, provided that the departure date is at least 7 days away at the time of cancellation.
Applicability of Cancellation Policy
The cancellation policy is only applicable to the unused portion of the ticket. Flights booked through the Bahamasair reservation portal or via the Bahamasair customer service number are covered under the cancellation policy.
Flight Cancellation by Bahamasair
In the event that Bahamasair cancels a flight, passengers will be able to use the unused portion of their tickets and any seat or baggage payments towards a future trip. The airline will communicate with passengers via email, providing them with the necessary information to rebook their trip.
Refund Requests and Processing Time
If a refund request takes longer than usual, Bahamasair will contact the passenger within 7 days to provide an update. It is important to note that the cancellation policy for non-refundable tickets does not allow for cancellation or refund under any circumstances. However, if non-refundable tickets are purchased with travel insurance, passengers may be able to claim a refund based on the coverage policy of the travel insurance.
Fare and Booking Type Considerations
Bahamasair cancellation policy may vary depending on the type of fare and when it was booked. It is important to review the fare rules associated with your booking to determine if cancellation is allowed and if any fees or penalties apply.
Timing of Ticket Cancellation
To avoid issues, it’s crucial to cancel your ticket before the first flight begins.Failure to cancel a ticket before the scheduled departure will result in the forfeiture of the ticket and no refund will be provided.
Bahamasair 24 Hour Cancellation
As part of its commitment to customer satisfaction, Bahamasair offers a risk-free cancellation option for flights booked directly through its reservation portal, app, or customer service number. Passengers have up to 24 hours after booking to cancel their flight for any reason and receive a full refund with no fees. However, some banks may hold funds on debit or credit cards, so it is advisable to check with your bank regarding their specific policies.
Bahamasair Cancellation Fee
Passengers are allowed to cancel their reservation up to 48 hours prior to the scheduled departure with a cancellation fee of 50 USD per passenger per ticket. If a passenger is marked as a no-show after departure, a cancellation fee of 250 USD will be charged.
